One dead following Maymont collision


A woman is dead following a rollover near Maymont Sunday night.

The incident happened around 8 p.m., about eight kilometres east of Maymont, according to WPD Ambulance. It was described as a single-vehicle rollover and took place on Highway 16.

The 26-year-old woman was found deceased on the scene.

There were four others injured in the collision. Three were transported to Battlefords Union Hospital in serious condition, then on to Royal University Hospital for further care. A fourth patient was transferred to Battlefords Union Hospital in stable condition.

In addition to the highway fatality, paramedics also responded to a collision at 5 p.m. in front of 1331 - 103rd St.

The collision involved a nine-year-old boy on a bike and a vehicle travelling northbound. The boy was taken to BUH in stable condition.
