June a month for field trips

Waseca news

The month of June is always one with many activities taking place including graduations and field trips.

Maidstone Grade 5 and 6 classes, including Waseca students Ashley McFadyen, Lance Weisner, Natasha Donovan and Justine Fenblethet, made a field trip to the Ukrainian village near Edmonton, Alta. June 14.

Several local people attended an interesting event at Provost, Alta. recently. Among the activities were lawn mower races and mud bog races. Among those attending were Crystal Hult and Jose Mendez and family and Curtis Sutherland and Felicia.

Kelly and Bobbi Doepker have enjoyed some interesting weekends. Their activities included fishing in Ministikwan Lake, a 4-H weekend in Lloydminster and the Silver Lake ball tournament this past weekend.

Just keeping up with the phenomenal growth in gardens, lawns, trees and shrubs keeps many people occupied. Our bird and animal friends have also been enjoying the showery weather. Butterflies are also busy in the flowers.
