The winners have been announced for the Carlyle Observer’s Christmas Colouring Contest. The images appeared in the Dec. 4 edition of the Observer. Kids were encouraged to colour in the drawings and submit them. Winners were selected for the Carlyle and Kipling areas. For Carlyle, in the three and under age group for Carlyle, Huckston Hohn was the winner and Carter Vail was second. King’s Department Store was the sponsor. In ages four and five, Macie Faber came in first and Lincoln Hohn was the runner-up. A Second Family Dog Lodge was the sponsor. Keegan Morson was the winner for the six-year-olds, and Breasen Morson was second. The Town of Carlyle was the sponsor. And in ages seven and eight, Aliya Faber was first and MacKenzie Shepard was second. Carlyle Pharmasave was the sponsor. In Kipling, Nixon Nagy was the winner for ages three and under, followed by Easton Sproat and Bobby Van Os. Gee Bee Construction was the sponsor. Bryson Aikens was the winner for ages four and five, with Mya Gartner in second and Hans Collado in third. Tim Hortons sponsored that division. For age six, Riley Brown was the winner, with Berkley Arthur in second and Sawyer Vargo in third. PIC was the sponsor. And in ages seven and eight, Amyra Zagoruy finished first, Kelsey Ennis was second and Emerson Batters was third. Hometown Co-op was the sponsor.
