Premier Scott Moe has clarified one of the statements that was made Thursday when he announced the Re-Open Saskatchewan Plan.

Moe was asked multiple times whether it was OK for people to once again get together with family and friends. At that time, he said yes, and he reiterated that statement Saturday morning in a post on his Facebook page.

However, he reminded people that they need to be cautious and maintain good physical distancing practices and other measures when they get together:

  • The families or friends must remain consistent. Do not visit different families or friends every day;
  • If you are going to create an extended household group, consider if any member of the group has any chronic health conditions that would put them at greater risk, or if they are in close contact with someone who could be vulnerable;
  • Gatherings must still follow the public health order and be no more than 10 people; and
  • Stay home if you are feeling unwell at all.

“You should always be thinking about who you have been in contact with over the past two weeks. These are the people we would need to contact if you were to test positive for COVID-19.”
