Over the past 114 years, the Arcola Fair has overcome many challenges and this is no different. This summer, we will not be hosting a 2020 Arcola Antique Ag Daze, but we are looking forward to hosting everyone in 2021. The cancellation of our event does not mean our board is folding.
The Arcola Fair Society is a continuation of Arcola's past Agricultural Societies that held its first fair in 1906.
Our board members are stewards of the Arcola fairgrounds. We care for, maintain, improve, and are responsible for the Arcola fairgrounds. We are proud to offer a multi-use green space, which is utilized by numerous community organizations. We offer rentals of our Ag Pavilions and grounds for a variety of functions, training opportunities, family barbeques, and educational courses.
For 2020, we have many behind-the-scenes maintenance tasks and renovations planned to keep us busy. If you see us out and about maintaining the fairgrounds, feel free to stop in and chat . . . while maintaining a social distance.
With COVID-19 guidelines permitting, the Arcola Fair Society is looking to host a few smaller events in the fall of 2020. Stay tuned to our website for all the event updates (arcolafair.wordpress.com)
