After undergoing extensive renovations, the A&W in Carlyle re-opened to customers on Friday, Nov. 22, after been closed since Sept. 6.

The interior has been redecorated, painted and newly designed seating is in place. The renovations provide a more accessible dining area and upgraded washrooms. The kitchen was also remodeled and is more streamlined to aide in the preparation of the food.

The renovations went smoothly and the number of employees is up, with some positions still to be filled.

The restaurant had a soft opening on Sept. 21. Manager Jesse Smith stated, “ a lot of positive feedback came from the guests” during the reopening and he is enthusiastic and appreciative of the return of the restaurants valued customers. All proceeds from the soft opening went to the Carlyle Food Bank. The restaurant also was accepting donations of food items that also went to the food bank in Carlyle.
