The Carlyle Chamber of Commerce met on Thursday, April 26, for their Annual General Meeting and Awards Night.

            Chair of the Chamber, Nicole Currie, said, “I’d like to thank everyone for coming to our AGM and 2nd Annual Awards Evening to help us recognize and celebrate the accomplishments of our business owners and volunteers. I feel that each nomination is a win for that business as they have been acknowledged by their peers for their success.”

            Awards this year were given to Southern Plains Co-op for their Community Involvement; Canadian Energy Services for Growth and Expansion; Dunn Transport for a Lifetime Achievement Award; Sydney Flynn for the 17 and under Volunteer of the Year; Nicole Currie for the 18 and over Volunteer of the Year; Carlyle Home Hardware for Business of the Year; and Living Skies CrossFit for New Venture.

            In addition to the awards given out, Verna O’Neill of Sunrise Community Futures presented to the group regarding the programs that they can offer the business community as well as the five key components to growing your business.
