The newly-formed 'Moms on a Community Mission' and Carlyle Minor Hockey have joined fundraising forces for their respective causes in the form on an ongoing 'Chase the Ace' fundraiser has begun and runs – almost – every Saturday at the Carlyle Sports Arena; concluding on Saturday, Oct. 27.

Tara Cure, Jennifer Deimuth, Britainey Vandewoestyne, Bobbie Dee and Nicole Currie will use half of the money raised to purchase safe, updated outdoor play structures at Carlyle Elementary School, while the Carlyle Minor Hockey Association will use their 50 percent of the profits to benefit local minor hockey programs.

“So far so good,” Cure says, adding,  “We’ve had different crowds each night. The more people the better!”

“The Chase the Ace on May 26th will have the Carlyle Cardinals there to help. They’re volunteering their time this weekend.”

This weekend’s meal is a pulled pork platter, which includes BBQ pulled pork, coleslaw, and French fries; but, there’s something else very exciting on the go as well.

“The minimum pot is $1,200 on May 26, plus we have our Toonie Draw as well,” Cure stated.

“Thank you to everyone for your support!”
