Jerri Laird is dedicated to her craft. The former Fine Arts teacher lives in Wawota and drives to Hamiota to attend the Art Club every week.
Although acrylic is her comfort zone, she is working on mastering watercolour. She was instrumental in the formation of the Artist Colony Art Retreat, along with Jacqui Beckett, Holly Dauvin, and Ken Frederickson. They wanted to offer something similar to the retreat in Assiniboia and have hopes to eventually raise funds to build more cabins at the Art Colony in Kenosee.
