Course Selection/Options Meeting

May 23 has been set aside for the start of course selections for next year.  Parents of students in grades 11 and 12 (next school year) are welcome to come out to school at 7:00PM to go over student options and select courses for next year.  Science teachers and math teachers will be there to talk to parents about course content and what it takes to be successful in topics dealing with things like quantum physics, genetics, or calculus.  Finally, we’ll talk about the connection between the courses taken and the ability to get into post-secondary programs.  Once again, the meeting will be held May 23 at 7:00PM in the high school library.

Many parents and students attended Student Led Conferences last week. Remember, if parents/caregivers ever have questions or concerns about their children’s progress at school, they are encouraged to contact their children’s teachers. HomeLogic is also an important online source for checking your child’s attendance and grades. (See below for more information regarding HomeLogic.)

Fitness Club continues on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays, from 7:45 – 8:30AM. All fitness levels are welcome. Come out and get your day started with some fitness.

The GFK Student Community Council meets the second Wednesday of the month in the school library at 7:00PM. All parents and community members are welcome to attend.
