Track and Field Districts and Provincials

Congratulations to all of the Grade 7 & 8 track and field athletes that competed in the Junior District meet in Estevan on Friday. Everyone had a great day! Grade 7 Boys: Mason Barta – 5th in 100m & 200m; 8th in Long Jump. Grade 8 Girls: Darcie Rae – 1st in 80m Hurdles High Jump & Long Jump, 2nd in 100m; Halle Schutz – 2nd in Long Jump; 4th in 200m; 6th in 100m; 8th in High Jump; Kerri Lachapelle – 1st in Shot Put; 7th in Discus; 9th in Long Jump. Special congratulations to Darci Rae who won the aggregate medal for top points in her age class.

Congratulations to the track and field athletes that competed in the Provincial Track and Field Meet in Moose Jaw on the weekend. Everyone did very well with some personal best results.       

Results: Midget Girls:            Trystan Barta – 5th in 200m; 8th in 100m, Madison Magotiaux – 16th in Shot Put; Midget Boys: Jonah Dyck – 12th in 3000m, Nathan Simons – 12th in 1500m, Colby Cuddington – 21st in Discus; Junior Girls: Taris Rae – 12th in 100m; 13th in Long Jump. We are excited for next year’s track season as everyone continues to improve each year as a result of their hard work!

 

There is a Track and Field Camp July 2-6. Contact the school office for more details.

 

Grade 10-12 students have final exams coming up soon. Thursday, June 20, PM: Apprenticeship Math 30; Monday, June 24, PM: Math 10, Social 20, ELAB30; Tuesday, June 25, AM: ELA B10, Biology 30; Tuesday, June 25, PM: Physics 30, Psychology 30; Wednesday, June 26, AM: Science 10, Pre-Calc 30.

 

Grade 7-9 Report Cards will be sent home with students on June 26, or can be picked up at the school on June 27. Grades 10-12 Report Cards may be accessed on Home Logic.

 

Awards Afternoon will be held on Thursday, June 13th at 1:00PM. All family members are invited to attend.

ParenThe basketball season has now started and a busy season is ahead for the Sr. Boys. Practices run almost every Monday and Wednesday and tournaments are slotted in for Norquay, Stoughton, Estevan, Oxbow, Rocanville, Gravelbourg and Davidson. The completion of the season will be the SHSAA playoffs starting with Conferences in March and concluding with Hoopla on March 23rd and 24th!ts can contact the school for information about how to set up access.
