The Bargain Shop in Carlyle and Southern Plains Co-op are again bringing cheer this festive season. This is the third year they have hosted a toy drive and fundraiser. The fundraiser is organized this year by Val Purser and Debbie Jack.
From Nov. 16 to Dec. 7 customers at the Bargain Shop are welcome to donate a toy or currency to the fundraiser. The toys will be loaded onto the Town of Carlyle’s fire truck on Saturday, Dec. 7. Once the toys are loaded they will be sorted and distributed to area children. You can contact the store for details if you are interested in participating in the program.
Also on location on Saturday, the Southern Plains Co-op will be holding a barbecue and all funds raised will go to the toy drive.
Please stop and enjoy a burger or hotdog on Saturday to assist this worthwhile fundraiser.
