On Wednesday evening, Mary Thiessen (and her guitar) came to lead us in our scheduled hymn sing-a-long. During that hour she asked each of us to, in turn, name one think that we were especially thankful for at that moment.

As you can Imagine, there was a very wide variety of responses – fall colours, bountiful harvest, three excellent meals each day, our families kept safe from COVID-19, the fellowship of the residents, the care and friendship from the staff, and on and on.

We need to think deeply more often and give thanks for so many blessings that we receive and sometimes take for granted.

On Friday afternoon, Judy Skiba stayed for an hour after her regular shift and played the piano for a gatherlng of residents to sing. She has put together several books of the oldies of our generation (and even farther back) which is enjoyed so much recalling and singing to – oh what fun! Thanks Judy.

Our regular activities - Bingo, floor curling. exercises, movie and popcorn took place during the week as well and we had our tenants meeting on Oct. 7.
