The summer’s gone and harvest is coming in.

A car tour went out to see it all last week. Drivers were Mary Thiessen, Bree Anne Moore, Pastor Alex and Amber. That was the day my nieces Wendy Turton and Jocelyn Hainswork had phoned to find out our visiting hours. Other visitors who signed in and out included Fern Mills’ son Calyton and three grandchildren, Cole, Luke and Blake.

Many others were on the lists which have been filed for tracing contacts of COVID-19, should it be necessary. We are all well, and enjoying your visits.

When we came in from another evening hymnsing in the courtyard with Mary Thiessen, I found 17 pieces of birthday mail on my counter. Canada Post even had the one from across the border. Two were paintings, by Nancy Larsen James and Heather (Hutton) Descalshuck. They are taking art lessons online from Elaine. They now hang in the gallery by my door.

Another picture came from my daughter and adult children with the birthday cake they made and enjoyed in my name. Fred led the “Happy Birthday” to me. At 96 I can barely see to type this.

Thank you to all who sent cards and letters.

On a wild windy morning this Villa is a wonderful place to be.
