Many of you may have been dedicated customers of Heather and Ken Frederickson of Wawota when they owned Reflections Flowers, Photos and Gifts in Redvers. The couple recently decided to close down their 16+ year's business and try their hands at new environmentally friendly adventures. One of their adventures since closing shop in Redvers may come as a surprise. The couple has teamed up with their son, Colton and become the first Rhino Industrial dealer in Western Canada. "It's strange to not be dealing with clients face to face anymore," said Heather Frederickson of the change. "I used to be directly selling items, now we are selling our service along with a product."Colton is a Journeyman Carpenter and Red Seal Certified. He lives in Wawota as well and is one of the first certified Rhino Industrial applicators for Canada. The couple's second son, Cody is in Calgary completing his third year in electrician school and plans on returning home after this year to join the business. If this happens the Frederickson's plan on purchasing a second truck. The new venture will be called Spray On Solution Inc, S.O.S for short, and will involve several different departments. The company will be spraying 100% Polyurea, rubber like protective coatings. The Rhino linings are known to be waterproof as well as fast setting, rust proof, stone, chemical and concussion proof. Something important to note is that the product has the ability to expand and contract and is resistant to vibration. This makes the application ideal for basements, roofs, water containers, deck and boats and much more."There is no V.O.C in the product, as well as there in no smell involved," she said. "Once the two chemicals come out of the gun at 134 degrees there is a chemical reaction, and they are no longer a solvent."The fancy concoction can be sprayed directly on garden cloth to lay right on the ground for ponds, erosion prevention or secondary containment."We are looking to deal with agriculture companies as well as the oil and mining industries," explained Frederickson. "Because the product is expandable it is perfect for our Canadian winters."If this sounds great to you it isn't even half of their business. The family will also be going into the Rhino Industrial Flooring line with a product called Fast Floors. This fast drying flooring will be used in businesses, shops, car garages and air hangers. The company is currently taking two weeks off to construct their new building. Vehicles will need to be treated indoors as the treatment is best applied at room temperature.Call the Frederickson family for more information at 306-739-2898.
