Wawota Hungtington Disease walk
More than $765.00 was raised for Huntington Disease at the Wawota Walk to Cure Hungtington Disease on April 26.

April 26, the day we celebrate and remember our parents (the date was their wedding anniversary) and raise funds for Huntington Disease. HD is a hereditary neurological condition that our mother and many of her relatives suffered from.

Wawota Walk to Cure Huntington Disease is the McCaw sister’s effort to raise awareness and funds. In light of Covid 19 we (Joanne Corkish, Marion Husband, Barbara Dennis) were pretty low key about inviting others to share our walk but a few faithfuls (two scooters and a friend) gathered on a rather pleasant Sunday afternoon and spacing themselves the required 6 feet apart proceeded to make a difference in support of our relatives who are afflicked.

Funds raised totalled in excess of $765. Should anyone wish to further support this effort you are welcome to do so. A secure online address to send your donation to is http://p2p.onecause.com/wawotawalk or should you prefer to use a cheque you may mail to Huntington Society of Canada, 151 Frederick St., Suite 400, Kitchener, ON N2H 2M2.
