Survived by his wife, Phyllis; children Philip (Twila) and grandchildren, Aaron and Evan; Herman, Rodney and Gloria Arndt; brother August; sisters, Elsie Tafelmeyer, Lydia Jesse, Manetta Rothwell. Predeceased by his first wife Martha, brother Karl, sister Lillian Krause.
