Happy birthday to Jack Aulie, who turns 80 on Feb. 28. Jack is a resident at Deer View Lodge. Word has been received of the passing of Arlene (Jones) Sostorics on Jan. 30. She was 80 years old and lived in Kipling.

Word has been received of the passing of Arlene (Jones) Sostorics on Jan. 30. She was 80 years old and lived in Kipling. She was predeceased by her husband Roger and siblings Donna, Rick and Ron Jones. She is survived by daughters Pamela and Paula and their families, siblings, Barry, Allan and Lana Doke and their spouses and families.

Arlene was the daughter of Sam and Madge Jones who managed the Uptown Cafe in Wawota in the 1950s.

Once again, Saskatchewan's Telemiracle was a great success. Even in these trying times the people of this province have huge hearts. It was online this year from Saskatoon. In a 20-hour span on Feb. 27 and 28, $5.6 million was raised.

Dale McVicar from Saskatoon visited with his mother Audrey for several days last week.

Canada Post has sent out self-stamped post cards to help us keep in touch with family members or friends elsewhere. A nice gesture to keep in touch.

With limited socializing this past year we are looking forward to two family weddings this summer. Our oldest grandson Justin will be marrying Tamara Buckingham on July 17 at Kenosee Lake. Our oldest granddaughter Brittany will be married at Echo Lake. She is marrying Riley Schnell on July 31st. Although plans are being put in place with COVID restrictions some may have to be changed.
