As a concerned citizen and taxpayer of the town of Carlyle, I want to bring the proposed new splash park to your attention.
The proposed location is in Centennial Park, which is on the corner of Main Street and Mountain Drive. Two very busy streets. There would be limited parking at this location, which would mean parking on the street, which would be very dangerous.
There are no bathroom facilities, and sewer would have to be dug in at a cost.
The second location, Lions Park, is in the area of the Crescent Point Leisure Centre. It has ample parking, bathroom facilities close by, and sewer would still have to be dug in at a cost.
March 3 is the next council meeting, at which time the location decision will be made. To voice your opinion please talk to Mayor Jen Sedor or a council member or Natalie at the town office
