The Cougars are excited to get rolling for this hockey season.
The league has been split into two mini leagues, the north and the south. We are in the North Division, competing against the Kipling-Windthorst Oil Kings, Wawota Flyers, Redvers Rockets and Carnduff Red Devils until December.
The league will then be reconfigured for January and February, with playoffs starting in March.
We have some exciting things that we are looking at getting started. The first being a website for our team, along with some fun community events and improving our presence and reach on our Social Media sites.
We appreciate all of the support that our fans, businesses and community have had for us over the years. Our goal is to promote all of our supportive businesses, moving forward, as much as we possibly can.
Our program is going to look a little different this year. All of the ads are going to be the same size. Each ad will be $100. This cost will include a possible rolling banner ad on our website (however that may look) for November and December of this year. We will also be making a point of mentioning our sponsors at all of our home games and through our social media outlets.
Our first game is Nov. 6, when the Rockets come to town. If you would like to run an ad, you can get back to us by texting Nicole Currie at 577-8915 or by email. We will make arrangements to stop in, collect your payment and give you a receipt all at the same time. If you would rather etransfer, you can send it to nickel89@sasktel.net and we will mail your receipt within a day or two.
