Eager parents and excited players arrived at the Carlyle Sports Arena on the morning of Nov. 21 for the Carlyle U11 Cougars first game of the season against the Carievale Storm.

There was no doubt that these first and second year U11 athletes had been counting down the days because they came out of the bench fuelled with an intense energy backed up by goalie Rylan Levesque’s insane glove skills that beat the competition 14-2.

The afternoon of Nov. 22, the teams had the chance to battle it out once again, this time lacing up to take the ice in Carievale. Although tensions were high from the previous days match, the Cougars were able to grab a 9-2 win thanks in part to the shooting strength of Terran East and the defensive speed of Jayce Kachur.
