Visiting the beautiful Moose Mountains from Grenfell was Robyn Krausher, who made the short trip to Kenosee Lake to camp at Fish Creek in Moose Mountain Provincial Park [MMPP].

It is a favoured destination for her and friends because of its close proximity to home, so when the weather says beach, it is just out the door and you are soaking up the sun.

Krausher visits the park every summer, usually coming with family and friends,

This trip she has been tenting for a few days and spending her time golfing, hiking and swimming, and enjoying the floatie which is always a must have for each trip.

The Main Beach is the preferred spot for her time at Kenosee during most trips and she also had plans to spend a day at the Kenosee Superslides.

Krausher also ventures to the beach at Crooked Lake; which is another favoured place to enjoy a hot sunny beach day, being that it is only a short drive from home as well.

After a day at the beach she enjoys making a campfire, socializing, telling stories, and enjoying a few refreshments while cooking smokies over the open fire.

This trip she was forced to improvise, forgetting to pack a hammer and having to use the axe to pound in the tent pegs. Usually she has use of a camper trailer, but this trip was a spur of the moment decision, so it was the tent that got the quick nod for accommodations.

When not cooking over the campfire, Krausher enjoys venturing out to sample the various cafés and restaurants in the vicinity.

Krausher someday would like to take a camping trip to Banff National Park. This summer most of her camping will be in the local area closer to home.
